The Tees Valley triumphed at the North East Business Awards, scooping five out of ten titles. Even the winner of the top honour, Company of the Year - Newcastle-based Dickinson Dees Law firm - has an office at Teesdale, Thornaby. It was a double celebration for the Green Tyre Company, of Middlesbrough, which took two accolades. Managing director Colin Scarsi said: "What a great night for Teesside." The awards final, organised by the Evening Gazette and its sister paper The Journal in Newcastle, at Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield, was attended by more than 600 guests.
