Join us for a Lyke walk?

Dec 7 2004

By Evening Gazette

Stockton-based developer George Wimpey North East is seeking volunteers to join them on a charity walk.

The team hopes to complete the Lyke Wake Walk in June next year to help raise money for Climb and Breast Cancer Care, the company's designated charities.

Climb - Children Living with Inherited Metabolic Diseases - is the only organisation within the UK dedicated to providing advice, information and support on all metabolic diseases to the 16,000 plus families affected by metabolic diseases in the UK.

Breast Cancer Care provides information, practical assistance and emotional support, reaching more than one million people affected by breast cancer or breast health concerns every year - and all for free.

The Lyke Wake walk crosses the North Yorkshire Moors and covers 42 miles.

The George Wimpey Lyke Wake Club hopes to complete the challenge on the weekend of either June 17 or 24.
