Forget Bernie and Pally, Mowbray and Ripley. Forget Gazza, Boksic and Juninho.
In 18 years over two spells at Middlesbrough, Colin Cooper has seen some talent. But the best of the best?
"There's been quite a few but I would say the most gifted individual was Christian Ziege," he said.
"That might be a surprise to some people but I was really gutted when he left, he was a fantastic footballer with exceptional talent.
"Technically, he had everything. Although he favoured his left, he was great with both feet, scored goals and made them. He could play in a few positions and his set-pieces were always a danger.
"Whatever his reasons for leaving and the way it all happened, he was a really nice fella and fitted in to the club ever so well. It was a real shame when he left, that was the one that got away.
"We've had some fantastic players here during my time, from the likes of Pally and big Tony to Gazza, Incey and Juninho - an excellent talent but I never saw the best of him. But Christian would be my pick."
