The Esh Group has announced the appointment of two new directors to Lumsden & Carroll, the commercial build and civil engineering arm of the award- winning construction group.
Stephen Wilkie, 34, and Steve Conn, 39, have been promoted from within the organisation to become construction directors.
Mr Wilkie joined as a trainee engineer after leaving school in 1989, progressing from operations to contract management as quantity surveyor, commercial manager and construction manager, qualifying with a BSc Construction Management at Leeds University in 1999.
Major housebuilders number amongst his clients and include George Wimpey North, George Wimpey North East, and Miller, Broseley, Haslam, Persimmon, Bellway and Barratt Homes.
Steven Conn joined in 1999 from Kvaerner Construction where he was a site agent. In this time he was seconded to North Yorkshire council, involved in designing and supervising bridge-building. At Lumsden & Carroll he held project management roles and has annual responsibility for contracts totalling £15m. They include work for Highways Agency, One NorthEast, county councils of Durham, Northumberland and North Yorkshire and North Tyneside and Derwentside district councils.
He project managed construction of Esh Group's £3m Bowburn headquarters. He graduated from Bradford University in 1988 with a BEng Civil and Structural Engineering.
