Other highlights of the week long extravaganza include;
Game: Today industry professionals will descend on Teesside for two days of events, talks and workshops based around the booming games industry.
Production: Six pieces of animation purposely produced purely for Animex will be given their premiere at Middlesbrough's UGC Cinema today. Other screenings will be held elsewhere on Teesside throughout the week.
Lounge: Tomorrow between 6.30-8.30pm a host of industry professionals will gather at Sassari's, Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough, for an informal chat.
Town: For two hours tomorrow the University of Teesside Cinema on Woodlands Road, Middlesbrough will be turned over to community groups and students for a screening of animation work.

Party: Thursday sees 80s comic Frank Sidebottom play Teesside university students' Union.
Talk: The big events on Thursday and Friday will be the event's annual lecture strand in which leading industry figures will deliver keynote speeches about animation in the movies, how film animation has changed over the years and the tools present industry figures are using to get their ideas to the screen.
