Screen star is a charity wiz

Daniel has more than a little in common with his big screen alter ego . . . he's studying magic!

The 16-year-old, who supports Fulham FC, is apparently a whizz at card tricks and he's also learning to play the bass guitar.

As well as having a love of rock bands like The Clash, The Pixies and The Libertines, Daniel has also developed a passion for movies, passed on to him by director Chris Columbus.

Spending more than nine months of each year shooting scenes at the London film studios may not leave Daniel with much spare time but he has also put his influence to good use, by quietly helping several charity projects.

In May 2002, Daniel contributed to a video created to help autism sufferers and in March 2003, a lock of his hair and an autograph raised more than £750 for Comic Relief.
