Honeymoon goes on hold

A couple have put their honeymoon plans on hold until the safe return of their missing puppy. Charlotte and Peter Grainge, of Stockton, married at Stockton Register Office on August 25 and had planned to set off on September 17 for a week on honeymoon in Whitby. But the couple have now postponed their honeymoon until their missing one-year-old bull mastiff called Tia is found safe and well. Tia went missing from outside the couple's Princess Avenue home on September 11, after managing to get out of the house. "We were due to go to Whitby for a week, but we won't go until we get her back," said Charlotte, who has two daughters, Emily, 10 and Demi, nine. Story continues ADVERTISEMENT "The girls are inconsolable and none of us are sleeping. Demi was nine last weekend and initially refused to have a birthday party, she was so upset. "We've put posters up around Stockton to try to find Tia and we daren't go out in case anyone phones." She added: "We've got three cats too and even they realise Tia is missing. "We've had Tia since she was one week old. Someone was unable to look after her and they gave her to us. She's become part of the family. "It was her first birthday on September 1, just days before she went missing. We're really desperate to get her back." * Anyone with information can ring Charlotte on 01642 605434.
